My last journal entry was at the end of August and I'm pretty sure for those few watchers I have (and even fewer readers)are wondering if I'm still alive. Unfortunately, I am.

I haven't blown my brains out...yet.

School's picked up; after getting used to the insane schedule, I'm (sorta) able to do all my assignments with a clear head on my shoulders. I've also taken a small "job" I guess you can call it; I tutor an elder man at school for $10 an hour, 5 days a week. (That's $50 a week!)

Also, the teacher that 'hated' me, well we're actually becoming really close ._. Shit you not! She smiles at me and she's really trying to help me out. I guess it's because I'm actually struggling now and I NEED her help. She teaches me both "Office Procedures" and "Job Seeking Skills"; those two classes are so alike it's pathetic. They should have just combined those two and give me one less class to take!

Office Procedures really jsut teaches you how to act in an office and work with your fellow coworkers. It has a few chapters of upcoming technology and how it helps the office, and also a few bits of what the office place might be like in the 2050 (if we get that far with the whole 2012 thing). I, currently, have a B in this class.

Job Seeking Skills teaches you how to highlight your best qualities to find a job and get through an interview. Again, basic common-sense things, but what worries me is that on Nov. 10, I have to go through a mock interview! I'm gonna have to dress up and basically convince a stranger that I'm worth highering. This is why I think employers should go off of high school/college grades rather than speaking to a person. I can do the job if I went to college for it! DUH! I currently have an A in this class.

Adv. Accoutning I isn't really kicking my ass, but I don't like my current grade in it. I have C in it! Curse you C! At the Tech school, a C is the lowest grade they'll allow for you to pass the class. I guess I should just be happy I'm passing it, but it's only a Mid-Term grade; I have to keep it up! I'm not too surprised. Avd Accounting I is part of the 5-part Accounting courses and is considered Accoutning IV as well. From what I've heard from Accounting graduates, this class ranks #2 of the hardest of the Accounting classes.

I'm also taking Payroll Accounting; which basically goes over all the laws of taxes when it comes to income and other junk like that. It's not hard, but it's a lot of information to remember. I currently have a B in that class.

Finally, I'm also taking Adv. Word, which is not hard. It's a continuation of Basic Word which teaches me all the possibilities of Microsoft Word 2007; something I use and play with on a daily basis. I'll admit, the class has taught me a few things, but nothing major. I currently have an A in that class.

That's pretty much it for my school life; I haven't had much of a social life recently, but I do make a note to stay in contact with all my friends as much as I can. Hell; me and some of my friends are going shopping today for Halloween costumes so we can dress up at school! Plus I want to go to Scare at the Square! It's a little get-together our two has in the middle of the square where everyone just dresses up and hangs out. Gwen and I have been talking about making her a zombie costume, but I can never find the time to just go over to her place and work on it!

My family's been pretty laid back, haven't been interacting with them much. Mom recently took on the project of repainting the house. I think she got in a little over her head because I keep getting that vibe you get when you walk around a starving lion or tiger....so avoiding her as much as I can. Hell, I tried to ask her for help on some homework two nights ago and she nearly blew up on me because I didn't understand what the question was asking.

This semester, by far, has been the worse for me. Though I've gotten considerably closer to all my college friends, it's still a bummer with all the work I have to do. I wish they'd give us something to let us know how hard the class will be or how much work is going to have to be done in it before we sign up for it. That way I can understand how much I'll be able to handle. I know I have to clock in at least 12 hours a week so I get my grant, but sometimes I wonder if it's worth it.

I mean, think about. The economy sucks, especially in Louisiana so I don't doubt I'll have to move to get a job. Then, if I did my math right, I won't graduate until Spring 2012, which seems kinda pointless when the world is gonna end half-way through December. I'm not dead set it's gonna happen, like I'm not preparing for it, but it does kinda scare me a bit. And the media isn't helping with that stupid movie! I saw those previews when Gwen and I went see "ZombieLand" (I recommend it by the way! Hilarious!) and they scared me...I just couldn't believe it would be that chaotic. God likes to fuck with people, huh?

So I'm just currently buying my time, wondering if I should even bother with it all. To be honest, Accounting isn't appealing to me any more. I'm actually double majoring in both Accounting and Office Systems which is just basically office work. But Office Systems seems to be fitting me more than Accounting. The two majors have all the same classes, except for about five different depending on which you want to go for. I just figure I'd take those five extra classes and get two degrees for the time of one; good idea right?

I suppose I'll stop my 'update' (seemed more like a rant though) here. As for any stories I'm working on, well..."Sun and Moon" hasn't been touched in a while, but I'm determined to finish it. Thanksgiving Break is just around the corner, so I'll do my best to work on it then. And school ends Dec 14 for me, so I'll have a month of before going back to school in late January.

I've also jotted down two more ideas, but I won't spoil that for you here. Just know what once school is over, I promise to give you guys plenty to read...if I still have any fans by that time. *Sighs* I'll see you guys later...
